The Veilomani Boys Home was seen celebrating the closing of the academic year of 2021 to 2022 with our years 13 students who did very well during their exams. It was another milestone in the book of records to the Home when one of our own was selected as the Head boy of the DAV College here in Ba. It was pure wisdom from above that saw Anthony Michael and Shahil Kumar completed their year 13 exams and they did proud to the Home for passing their external exams with flying colors. It was Anthony who received trophies for scoring the highest in 3 different subjects (Computer, Applied Technology, Technical Drawing and this was his passport to another level of transiting to the University of the South Pacific. The road for Anthony was not a picnic in a bed of roses but he managed to survive through the thorns of life by the love of God who provided the Home as an opening to many blessings that come his way. He is a proven testimony of how God works in His own miraculous way to the less fortunate children who are under the care of the Veilomani Boys Home. It was a proud moment to the Superintend of the Home ( Rev Wame and his team ) to see first hand the better side of nurturing the children with love that produces the best fruit any parent would like to receive at the end of a school team. Though there were disruptions to the studies in every school by the pandemic , this does not deter the spirits of studying in the Home as their program during the pandemic was strictly supervised by the Careers on daily basis. A big vinaka vakalevu to the BSP bank Social club in Ba for sponsoring the two students for their tertiary institutions. We also acknowledged the support from the Welfare department and those faith based organizations including individuals and families who always extend their hands with provisions of cooked food, groceries and other gifts that saw the life of the boys in the best shape that any homely environment can offer.
We salute you Anthony Michael and Shail Kumar for your achievements and it is our prayers that the good Shepherd will continue to guide you in the years ahead. Vinaka vakalevu na vuli kei na gugumatua
